We loved the cozy vibe of the hotel, especially when we changed into yukatas. The onsen was lovely, and the natural hot spring was a nice touch. The breakfast and dinner were perfect. The staff was kind, friendly, and spoke English with us. The view of the lake and mountains was amazing. The hotel's location halfway up the mountain was perfect for exploring the area over the weekend.
Couldn't fault.

The view from the room was breathtaking, facing the lake and a beautiful red gate with a stunning sunset. The traditional Japanese concept was fascinating, with a tatami room equipped with comfortable futon beds, a private onsen and free massage chair. The Japanese-style breakfast and dinner were delicious and included in the stay. The staff was excellent, friendly and helpful, despite our basic Japanese skills. The hotel's organized facilities were spotlessly clean, and the location was ideal for exploring the area over a weekend.
Although the facilities were spotless, the hotel is beginning to show its age, with some worn cabinets, old carpets with stains, and the bed was quite hard and uncomfortable. The room temperature was also too hot, despite turning the thermostat down.
